SINGLE ORIGIN Ethiopia Dikitu Coffee Blend

DESCRIPTION

We first procured coffee from the Dikitu Mill for our LOCAL Coffee Blend in 2020, and for this year, we have selected their washed coffee.  

Dikitu is the name of the washing station where this coffee is processed, situated at a high altitude in the Guji Zone. As is common throughout Ethiopia, smallholder farmers, each owning less than one hectare of land, deliver cherry to the mill and receive premiums based on the grades of coffee they supply.  

We have a strong appreciation for the coffee from Hambela Wamena, and this Guji selection exhibits the same layers of sweetness that impressed us during our initial purchase. Notable flavour profiles include sweet toffee/spun sugar, clean blue and red berry notes, and a refreshing lemon/lime acidity.
